Today, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and the Brooklyn Literary Council launched “#WORMSUNITE”, an innovative outreach campaign to appear on social media and mainstream advertising leading up to eighth annual Brooklyn Book Festival, supported by AT&T, on Sunday, September 22, 2013, from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. The hashtag is designed to drive conversation and build excitement ahead of the event.

#WORMSUNITE was developed by The Joey Company, a fully-evolved integrated marketing agency in DUMBO, Brooklyn with notable accounts such as Trojan, First Response, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Foundation and the University of Michigan School Of Public Health. They pride themselves on "Seeing What Others Fail to See®" in order to create ideas that make brands famous and companies rich. They can be visited online at thejoeycompany.com.

“The opportunity to create a 'hook' for bookworms to unite at the renowned Brooklyn Book Festival was such a joy,” said Joey Cummings, CEO/Chief Strategic & Chief Creative Officer of The Joey Company. “We are proud to partner with such a wonderful event happening right in our own hood… Brooklyn.”
