NEW YORK/6/9/08–Amazon.com Inc.’s web site was periodically inaccessible Monday, June 9, according to The Associated Press. The sporatic outages occured only days after the site went down for more than two hours, for reasons that were unclear.
Keynote Systems Inc., a California-based company that monitors web site performance, reported that the troubles on Monday began shortly after 1 p.m. EDT (1700 GMT) and lasted for at least an hour. The company said it was able to reach Amazon only about 30 percent of the time, and even then there were long delays in accessing material.
Apparently Amazon.co.uk in the United Kingdom, also had outages. The AP said Amazon did not answer its calls Monday. Read the full AP story.
