to Provide Content

for DIY Cable Network

NEW YORK, NY/12/18/04—Sterling Publishing Company, owned by Barnes & Noble since January 2003, and the cable network, DIY (Do It Yourself), have signed a deal to produce a series of television programs based on eight Sterling’s book titles per year. Subjects will include gardening and home improvement. The programs should begin airing in late 2005.

In January 2003, Sterling Publishing Co., Inc., was acquired by America’s largest bookstore retailer, Barnes & Noble.
