A Tainted Hood Life 1

A young Business Owner/ Hustler Daryll Smith (aka) Hood, from the East Side of Birmingham, Alabama; meets and finds love in a young woman from the opposite side of town.. the West Side. Veronica Wright has a grip on him, but the East Side is all Hood knows and cares about. However; it doesn’t seem to care about him because somehow his Neighborhood has become Tainted. Hood does all he can to protect his Neighborhoodand maintain a life filled with Murder and Drugs, all while balancing a potential This novel has approximately 55,000 words and is considered an Urban work of Fiction

Hood stood in front of a floor length mirror, checking and rechecking his appearance. He didn’t want to overdo it when it came to his dress code, however; he did want to capture his future woman’s attention, and keep it. Impressing her was a priority, but getting her to be his girl was law. Hood achieved every goal he’d set before himself, but when it came to Vee, he was surprised because he just wasn’t so confident that she would be interested in him.
“Damn, this girl already got me questioning my abilities,” he said aloud while laughing a little bit; which was another rare action.
Hood almost always either had a serious look on his face, or he had that look; the one that let a person know that they were in serious danger. Finally approving himself worthy of a meeting with the Beautiful woman, he stood stone faced, dressed in his signature color Blue. Since it was relatively warm outside, he chose crisp dark blue denim jean shorts, a simple dark blue L.A Dodgers t-shirt with white lettering, no show length white socks, and brand new navy blue and white 1990 Air Max. Topping it off he had his braids freshly done and his hang time was precisely on point. However; he chose to wear a matching dark blue and white L.A Dodgers fitted
cap. Playing it safe, he chose no jewelry but he grabbed his bottle of Polo Black cologne, sprayed it into the air and walked under the midst. Perfect, not too much, but just the right hint to tickle the tall beauty’s nose.
Time was on his side because it was now about 5 minutes until 8:00. Hood walked outside and stood on the porch; he chose to walk back up on the hill instead of driving, so he went to the trunk of his car that was parked in the backyard, opened it and decided on a weapon. He didn’t think he would need it at Cece’s house, or in the hood period, but Hood never walked around or went anywhere without a tool. The trunk of his car looked like a gun store, he had everything from small handguns, to large fully automatic assault rifles. Hood chose a very small but lethal 4 shot .45 caliber Derringer model, checking it to make sure it was loaded, then dropped it into his back pocket. Feeling content now, he closed the trunk and made his way to the bridge, making sure his head was on a swivel as always by nature.
It only took him a few minutes to cross the bridge and reach Cece’s house. He could hear music playing as he got close to the brick structure. Once he rounded the side of the house where the covered carport sat, he saw CeCe and Vee both furiously booty popping to a song by City Girls, each girl bent over with hands on their knees, lost in the music. Hoods’ eyes focused on Vee; she had on jean shorts as well, with lace trimmed around the leg’s opening. Her shirt fit and held her titties so well that Hood could have sworn that it had been tailored for her body only. She wore simple sandals and her hair in a short cut. For a few moments, he didn’t even notice CeCe until she yelled out to him and ran over asking him about the food and drank.
“Man.. bruh, where’s the drink, and I’m hungry as hell?”
