An AUDIO interview with Linda Casale, Sharen Heath, Donna Hood, and Karen Krug
Authors and organizers of The Book Lovers Guid to Creating a Gathering

September 2006

Authorlink.com, as part of its expanded web community for editors, agents, writers, and readers, is now inviting all reading groups and book clubs to post their favorite reads for each quarter on the Authorlink site.

Serving as the premiere contributor to the new Authorlink section is a group of clubs belonging to the All-Island Book Lovers Annual Get Together on Whidbey Island near Seattle, WA., which has now grown to more than 14 clubs strong, with 100-plus booklovers attending the annual event. To see how they did it, listen to the audio interview.

The All-Island favorites list will appear with other lists in Authorlink’s new section called READING GROUP PICKS. The January to June 2006 list can be viewed online. Just look for the READING GROUP PICKS headline on the site’s main index page.

In addition, Authorlink is offering an online guide book for planning a successful book lovers event, written by the All-Island group’s organizers— THE BOOK LOVERS GUIDE TO CREATING A GATHERING by Linda Casale, Sharen Heath, Donna Hood and Karen Krug. To download the free book simply click the book title here or on the Authorlink.com main page.

Other Island book clubs wishing to submit their best read may contact Karen Krug at karenkrug@earthlink.net. Clubs wishing to register and contribute to READING GROUP PICKS can e-mail Authorlink CEO Doris Booth at Dbooth@authorlink.com.
