“. . .grabs the reader by the throat . . .”

Detective Zach “Cowboy” Adams is a legend in his own lifetime. He’s seen his share of man’s inhumanity to man. When he and partner “Broadway Joe” Goulart are called in to a particularly bloody crime scene they realize the inhumanity has gotten a whole lot worse. A notorious fence and his henchmen have literally been butchered. Adams and Goulart recognize the handiwork of Dominic Abend, a powerful force in the European underworld. Secretive, shadowy, ruthless beyond measure, Abend is steadily destabilizing the whole of Europe through his spreading network of corruption. Now it seems he’s setting his sights on the US.

Adams seizes on the only clue provided by a lone survivor. Abend himself was present during the murders, demanding the whereabouts of a stolen artifact, a 16th century sword or dagger. Why is the thing so important to Abend? Adams flies to Germany to consult with a professor who seems to know more than anyone about the weapon. Traveling through country straight out of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale, the Cowboy is uneasy from the get-go. His meeting with the professor leads to a terrifying encounter in the Saxon forest, one which transforms Zach Adams forever.

Adams returns home convinced that Abend must be stopped before he wrecks the whole world. He needs his partner’s help more than ever – but it looks like Broadway Joe might be in Abend’s pocket. He needs to stay focused while battling his new nature at a bloody cost to his sanity. The fate of his world is at stake, and Zach Adams must hunt Abend like he’s never hunted any crook before.

Werewolf Cop grabs the reader by the throat and doesn’t let go until the very end. The writing is crisp and descriptive. Straight-arrow Zach Adams has his flaws and moments of doubt. The other characters are also fully-rounded. This good read will send shivers up your spine.
