Chapter 1 – Lies

Thirty years have passed since Michael extracted Lilith and Lucifer away from Heaven. In that time, Michael raised Seraphina alone in the Heavenly Palace. Seraphina tried not to see her life as one of loneliness with her loving mother gone. Every time Seraphina had asked her father Michael, he would always say, “She is on a trip. She will be back soon.”
Despite not having a mother’s love, Seraphina have gotten close to a maid named Angela. Angela herself had a physical form that resembled a young African American woman at an age like Seraphina. The maid would always be dressed in a white maid uniform to represent her position and loyalty to her mistress. Seraphina would spend every part of her daily schedule with Angela. In time, Angela had become Seraphina’s most valued person. Seraphina especially enjoyed Angela brushing her long blond hair in her bedroom. They became an inseparable pair. Every aspect for the pair seemed normal until one day.
As Seraphina and Angela were doing a daily workout in the Heavenly Palace’s training room, they found themselves called over by Michael. At an instant, the pair approached the almighty angel. Seraphina then looked at her father with a curious expression due to an unknown male angel completely dressed in a white suit of armor was standing there. “Hello father. Who is this?” said Seraphina. “Hello daughter. This is Pistos. He is the advisor. He wants to meet with you.” said Michael. “Meet me? Oh, well hello Pistos. My name is Seraphina. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” said Seraphina as she bowed her head. Angela bowed with her close friend. Pistos took off his helmet and said, “It’s a pleasure to meet you too.” Seraphina stood up straight and blushed at the sight of Pistos’ face. The advisor had clear white skin, a shaved beard, a crew-cut hairstyle and blue eyes. “And what do I owe this pleasure Lord Pistos?” said Seraphina. “Beautiful Lady Seraphina. I would like to ask for your hand in marriage. Will you be my bride?” said Pistos. Both Seraphina and Angela gasped at the sudden proposal. “I apologize my Lord. This is so sudden. I need time to think about this.” said Seraphina. “I understand my Lady. You think about it. I will be back next week for your answer.” said Pistos as he left the room and exited the castle. “I apologize father. I hope I didn’t anger him.” said Seraphina. “We’ll talk about this at dinner.” said Michael as he left the training room as well.
Later that very same night, Michael and Seraphina ate together at the dinner table. “I hope it’s to your liking Master and my Lady.” said Angela as she bowed her head and stood by the dining room wall. “Thank you so much Angela.” said Seraphina. Angela smiled brightly as she did her maid duties. “Seraphina. I am very disappointed in you from earlier today.” said Michael. “What are you talking about father?” said Seraphina. “I mean you could have just said yes to the proposal. Why didn’t you?” said Michael. “Do you honestly believe I say yes to someone I just met? He is a good-looking guy I give him that, but no way would I marry someone I just met. That is just pathetic.” said Seraphina. Michael banged his fist on the table, stood up and said, “How dare you disagree with me?” “Father, you’re scaring me right now.” said Seraphina as she approached Angela and held onto her. “I see now. You’re in love with her. I failed you. I failed you as a father. I should have just hired male servants. Look at what she made you.” said Michael as he used his dark powers to constrict Angela in a rope made from pure dark energy. Angela cringed and screamed as her body got tied up. “Angela!! You are so crazy. Being with her was the most amazing part of my life. I love her!!!” said Seraphina as she tried to break Angela free from the rope. “I love you too my Lady.” said Angela. “Shit!!! It won’t budge. Look, let her go!!!!” said Seraphina. “I’ll let her go if you agree to my demands. Marry Pistos and she will be set free.” said Michael. “I will. I promise I will.” said Seraphina. “Good.” said Michael as he did as he said. Seraphina quickly embraced Angela and said, “Are you alright?” “I am my Lady. I’m fine.” said Angela. “Angela just call me Seraphina.” said Seraphina. “Okay Seraphina.” said Angela as she embraced Seraphina back. “I apologize for interrupting the touching moment but there is business to discuss here.” said Michael as he whistled. At an instant, a faction of demons entered the dining room and forcefully separated Seraphina and Angela from each other. “Angela!!” said Seraphina. “Seraphina!!!” said Angela. “You said you would let her go.” said Seraphina. “I did and I kept my word. I will not be discussing future wedding plans with your disgusting female loving going on in here. Your girlfriend will be in the dungeon for the week. Take her away.” said Michael. “FUCK THIS SHIT!!!” said Seraphina as she began to fight the demons. “Yeah!!” said Angela as she did the same. Despite the couple’s valiant effort to resist they were eventually subdued by their enemies due to being outnumbered. Both Angela and Seraphina were constricted with rope. Seraphina screamed as she watched the woman she loved get taken away from her. “Okay now, FUCKING SETTLE DOWN!! NOW!!! You’re not going to be with her. JUST ACCEPT IT!! You are meant to be with Pistos NOT some woman who won’t even be able to take care of you.” said Michael. “Okay!!” said Seraphina as she breathed heavily until she forced herself to calm down as ordered. And with that, Seraphina and Michael sat down and discussed the wedding as demanded.
For the next week Seraphina was demanded to try on dresses, practice dancing and taste various types of foods. As a reward for obedience, Seraphina was given supervised visits to Angela. The pair did everything they could to remain strong for each other. After a week of anticipation, Pistos came back to the Heavenly Palace. “May I have your answer my Lady?” said Pistos. “Yes.” said Seraphina with a forced reply. “Great. How about we skip preparations and get married today?” said Pistos. “Okay my Lord.” said Seraphina. Later, the battle coliseum of Heaven was used as the venue for the wedding ceremony. Like the battle against the three archangel siblings, the building’s seats were completely full. Seraphina walked down the aisle dressed in a ceremonial white wedding dress. Seraphina held back her tears after seeing Angela bound in chains to the posts on the battle ground. One of Michael’s demons, disguised as an angel, was the officiant. “We’re gathered here for the union of Pistos and Seraphina. Do you Pistos take Seraphina as your wife?” said the demon. “I do.” said Pistos. “And do you Seraphina take Pistos as your husband?” said the demon. “Unfortunately, I don’t.” said Seraphina as the dark powers surged from her body. “What did you say?” said Pistos. “I said I don’t.” said Seraphina as she burned Pistos to death with a burst of flames shot from one of her hands. The sight of Pistos’ death shocked the entire audience causing them to run out of the colosseum as fast as they could. “Pistos!!!!” said Michael. Seraphina then glided to Angela as fast as she could. “What are you doing?” said Angela. “I am saving you. I am getting us out of here.” said Seraphina as she broke her beloved girlfriend free from her chains. “Thank you, Seraphina.” said Angela. The moment Seraphina attempted to leave the colosseum with Angela; she found herself forced right back into Michael’s hand on the collar of her dress. “You!!! I can’t believe you would disobey me like this.” said Michael. “I’ll do it for the one I really love. Pistos will never have the pleasure of being with me. He don’t deserve me. May he rot forever thinking about that.” said Seraphina as she giggled. “All right that’s it. I am extremely upset with what I must do right now. It’s time for your punishment. It’s time you face the same one your pathetic mother did.” said Michael. “You one-eyed liar. You said she went on a trip.” said Seraphina. Michael’s eye turned black, and he said, “You are right. I AM a liar. I enjoy being a good one at that. Now goodbye daughter.” And with that, Michael opened a wormhole and threw his own daughter into it. Seraphina screamed for her life as she fell deeper into darkness. The lone angel couldn’t help but shed tears knowing that everything she believed about her father were nothing but lies.
