Returning to Olympia London in June 2021, The London Book Fair is the global marketplace for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film and digital channels. Don’t miss out, sign up to attend now! Uniting the most talented minds in content
London has been the setting of many evocative stories from Charles Dickens and Virginia Woolf to Zadie Smith and Diran Adebayo, to name a few.
It’s a place where characters come to life. Walking through the streets of London you can easily picture Oliver Twist pickpocketing or Mrs. Dalloway making her way around busy Westminster. A city as timeless as London never stops inspiring or creating and continues to unite the most talented minds in content.
The London Book Fair is the pre-eminent Spring fair, offering you the opportunity to set the tone in publishing for the year ahead. If you are involved in the creation, distribution, sale or treatment of content, they are ready to welcome you to the fair in 2021.
Authors, talent scouts, editors, designers, digital gurus walk the floor, meeting, talking, observing, and discovering. They will provide the perfect platform to engage with customers, build brand awareness, conduct face-to-face business and make sales.
To boost your visibility at the fair, they have created dedicated areas for each sector of publishing. This makes it super simple for the right visitors to find you and for you to reach the right people.
Celebrating Excellence in the Global Book Industry
Held in partnership with The Publishers Association, The International Excellence Awards are a grand celebration of publishing and related activities outside the UK.
Here are the main sectors:
Poetry
Poetry is currently one of the most dynamic areas of publishing, as rising sales across the globe have proven. LBF connects poets with professionals to discuss trends within the industry and show off their talents.
Dedicated spaces, including the Poetry Collective and Poets’ Corner, allow poets and professionals to network with one another at the fair, alongside our Poet of the Fair offering, which will celebrate the best of the art form.
The Illustrators’ Gallery
The Illustrators’ Gallery enables illustrators and artists to showcase their work to the international publishing community over the three days of The London Book Fair.
The collective gallery area gives illustrators and publishers a space to meet, network and for new and exciting projects to be commissioned.
New Title Showcase
New Title Showcase is the place to introduce new titles to a captive audience at the fair. It provides authors and publishers with a venue on the show floor a place where their titles, with available rights, can be found by publishers, agents, distributors, and the whole of the LBF attendee database.
Writers’ Block
Writers’ Block is in the perfect location to take advantage of the traffic created by the seminars that take place in Author HQ. Aspiring authors and established authorpreneurs make themselves at home here. This is the place to increase your knowledge of publishing, learn the best route for your book, and create your author brand.
First launched in 2016, Writers’ Block has gone from strength to strength to become the destination for Author Services at The London Book Fair.
International Rights Centre
The hub for international rights business during a key buying time for the industry, the IRC gives agents, scouts and publishers the perfect opportunity to meet face-to-face with new and existing contacts.
Located on the second floor of Olympia, it provides a more private and comfortable meeting space with custom built lockers, tables and chairs, exclusive catering services and an appointment-only entrance system.
The Groucho Club
The Groucho Club provides exceptional comfort and service to our VIPs. Founded by publishers, for publishers and other arts world leaders, The Groucho Club’s ethos of style, comfort, service and fun is a fabulous addition to the fair.
As a part for this exclusive club you will receive a branded private pod with waiter service, four exhibitor badges and 10 visitor badges.
And there is much more!
More than 25,000 publishing professionals are expected to attend this year’s Fair from 135 countries.
Health and Safety Concerns
The health and safety of our colleagues and all attendees remains the number one priority. The events are well ordered market places for conducting business, commerce and Pop culture where organizers are able to affect conditions, settings and situations through a consistent and coherent program of safeguards and precautionary measures.
With that in mind, Reed Exhibitions have developed a formal set of enhanced health and safety protocols in collaboration with industry task forces for future events.
