Best Novel Award

NEW YORK, NY/7/17/07–Joseph Finder has been named winner of the second Thriller Award for Best Novel by The International Thriller Writers Association. Billed as the world’s most prestigious thriller book prize, the award was given to Finder for his acclaimed novel Killer Instinct published by St Martins Press. He receied the news at the ITW gala banquet in New York on July 14.

The book was picked from a hotly-contested shortlist of False Impression by Jeffrey Archer, Cold Kill by Stephen Leather, The Messenger by Daniel Silva, and Beautiful Lies by Lisa Unger.

The Best First Novel prize was awarded to the British writer Nick Stone for his debut Mr. Clarinet, which is set in Haiti. Best Paperback Original went to PJ Parrish for An Unquiet Grave. The Best Screenplay award was won by Eric Roth for The Good Shepherd.

The 2007 ThrillerMaster of the Year award was given to James Patterson
