Weisberg Named
President of Penguin
Young Readers Group

NEW YORK, NY/5/15/2008–Don Weisberg has been named president of Penguin Young Readers Group, succeeding Doug Whiteman who has been promoted to executive vice president of business operations of Penguin Group USA. Weisberg formerly served as vice president and COO of Random House in North America. Weisman was selected to to help the company find new markets for its products.

In addition, Barbara Marcus, formerly president of Scholastic children’s publishing and distribution division, has joined Penguin as a consultant and advisor to the children’s group.

Whiteman will oversee emerging technology and production.
