Dallas, TX USA/LONDON/10/5/06—Authorlink.com, the award-winning USA online news, information, and marketing site for the publishing industry, and Publishing News (PN), the United Kingdom’s lively and authoritative news and features site and weekly trade magazine for the book business, have formed a strategic alliance that will broaden the two entities’ news and features coverage across the globe.

Authorlink.com, with about 80,000 unique visitors per month (nearly a million per year), and PublishingNews.co.uk (PNOnline), with some 30,000 unique visitors will join forces to share their content beginning with their respective editions Thursday, October 12, 2006. Initially, PNOnline will feature a news section called The USA Report, fed from Authorlink.com, and Authorlink will feature a PN-fed section called The EU Report.

Joint coverage will grow to include interviews with bestselling authors and key executives on both sides of the globe. Each company will feature the other’s logo on its main web page.

Authorlink, founded in 1996, is among the top U.S. websites for editors, agents, writers, and readers. The site has Thursday news editions plus a main edition on the first day of each month. Publishing News, founded in 1979 is well-known in international publishing circles from the daily newspapers and online reports it publishes from the Frankfurt and London Book Fairs. Publishing News also founded, and continues to organize, the British Book Awards, the UK’s most prestigious book awards event which is televised annually on prime time terrestrial television.

Both entities are known for their outstanding and timely coverage of the publishing industry. In addition, Authorlink now has audio interviews on its site and distributes selected interviews to iPod sites on the web.
