Two Key Editors Depart Random House

NEW YORK, NY/10/4/07–Two editors have recently announced their departure from Random House. Amy Hertz, left Broadway’s Morgan Road imprint when RH announced in May 2007 that it would close the unit. She has now been named editor-at-large at Dutton/Penguin Group USA. Nancy Miller is leaving her position as senior vice president and executive editor of Random House Publishing Group in October.

Hertz, who will report directly to Dutton publisher Brian Tart, will handle literary nonfiction and memoir, health, fitness and psychology.

Miller headed Ballantine from 2000 to 2006, when she was promoted to executive editor to spend more time with her authors.
