NEW YORK/DALLAS/7/17/08– ThrillerWire, the new download channel and showcase for published thriller writers was launched during the International Thriller Writers Association's ThrillerFest, July 9-12, 2008 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City. The Thrillerfest event drew more than 300 attendees, up 34% over the previous year, and featured a star-studded lineup of bestselling authors, including James Patterson, Kathy Reichs, Brad Thor, Eric Van Lustbader, David Baldacci, Sandra Brown and others.

ThrillerWire, a strategic partnership between ITW and, features FREE excerpts and original stories from bestselling and debut thriller writers' latest releases–all in one convenient location for readers and fans.

In addition to excerpts, ThrillerWire includes links to other materials about the authors, such as audio/video interviews, book reviews, and websites. In some cases, writers will charge readers 99 cents per download, but most downloads will be free samples of ITW members' latest book releases. Only ITW members can post to ThrillerWire.

Three New York Times bestselling thriller writers are among the first to contribute FREE excerpts of their latest works. They are Jon Land, whose latest release is THE SEVEN SINS (Forge, June 2008); Christopher Reich, whose latest book is RULES OF DECEPTION (Doubleday, 2008) ; and James Rollins, THE LAST ORACLE, out this Summer from HarperCollins.
