Stacy Creamer Named Publisher
Of S&S Touchstone Fireside

NEW YORK, NY (Authorlink News, May 7, 2009)—Stacy Creamer has been named Vice President and Publisher of Touchstone Fireside, a division of Simon & Schuster, Inc., effective May 11. The appointment was jointly announced by Carolyn Reidy, President and CEO of Simon & Schuster, and Martha Levin, Executive Vice President and Publisher of Free Press. In her new position, Ms. Creamer will report to Ms. Levin. Touchstone Fireside and Free Press will have independently functioning editorial and publishing staffs.

Ms. Creamer comes to Touchstone Fireside from Broadway Books, where she is Vice President and Editor in Chief. Since joining Doubleday Broadway in 2001, Ms. Creamer has edited numerous acclaimed and bestselling works, including Douglas Blackmon’s SLAVERY BY ANOTHER NAME, winner of the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction, Lauren Weisberger’s THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, Elizabeth Edwards’s SAVING GRACES, Kurt Eichenwald’s CONSPIRACY OF FOOLS, Carolyn Jessop’s ESCAPE, Christopher Reich’s RULES OF DECEPTION, Dr. Louis Aronne’s THE SKINNY, and Ed Viesturs and David Roberts’s NO SHORTCUTS TO THE TOP.

Ms. Creamer began her publishing career in 1984 as an assistant to Phyllis Grann at G.P. Putnam’s Sons, where she rose to become Executive Editor. At Putnam she was the editor of Lance Armstrong’s IT’S NOT ABOUT THE BIKE, and edited many other high-profile authors including Robin Cook, Patricia Cornwell, Catherine Coulter, Alice Hoffman, Dean Koontz and Steve Martini.

Recent bestsellers and prominent titles from Touchstone Fireside include A LITTLE BIT WICKED by Kristin Chenoweth, NATURALLY THIN by Bethenny Frankel, THE BRO CODE by Barney Stinson, CRUEL INTENT by J.A. Ms. Creamer replaces Mark Gompertz, who was recently named Executive Vice President, Digital Publisher of Simon & Schuster. Mr. Gompertz will retain managerial oversight of the company’s Howard Books imprint.
