Sept 19 – Sept 25, 2011 Edition Michael Moore Promotes Latest Book, Here Comes Trouble

Michael Moore, bestselling author and Oscar-winning filmmaker, returns to the UK and Eire to play a series of live dates to mark the publication of his first major book in eight years. On previous visits to the UK, including an acclaimed nine-week sell-out season at London’s Round House, he was hailed as: “a stand-up comic in the grand tradition****” (Guardian); and “Devastatingly funny” (Metro).Michael’s live shows are unpredictable, polemical, hilarious, sometimes seditious and always highly entertaining.

Shows in Belfast, Dublin, Birmingham, Manchester, London and Cardiff follow the publication of his new book HERE COMES TROUBLE published by Allan Lane/Penguin in the UK on 19th September. Described as an ‘anti-memoir’ the book blends a collection of far-ranging, irreverent stories from his own life. Michael will be signing copies of HERE COMES TROUBLE after the show in each venue.

Michael Moore is the author of the international bestselling books Dude, Where’s My Country? (2003) and Stupid White Men (2002). He is also the Academy Award-winning director and producer of Capitalism: A Love Story (2009). His films Sicko (2007), Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004), and Bowling for Columbine (2002) are three of the highest-grossing documentaries of all time. Bowling for Columbine won the Academy Award for Best Documentary in 2003. Sicko was nominated for the same award in 2008 and was hailed by the New York Times as “Moore’s funniest film to date.” Moore lives in Michigan.
