Bantam Launches
New Imprint
In Dual Format

NEW YORK, NY/8/22/2007–Bantam Dell, a division of Random House, is launching Bantam Discovery, a new imprint that will publish one title per month in both trade paperback and mass market format. The goal of the new imprint is to offer readers more choice, thus securing as many potential fans as possible in a changing marketplace.

Bantam will introduce its dual format with the February 2008 release of The Adultery Club, by Tess Stimson. The title already is a bestseller in the UK. Stemson’s book will be closely followed by two more, both of which are women’s fiction titles. However, company spokesmen have said Bantam Discovery will publish a broad range of general fiction.

Random House is reportedly spending a million dollars to market the new line.
