Adler Leaves Gruner to Head
Prinovis Communications
Gütersloh/Authorlink News/04/14/09–Alexander Adler (36), Vice President Media Relations at Gruner + Jahr AG, has been appointed the new Head of Corporate Communication at Prinovis Ltd., Hamburg with effect from July 1, 2009. He will supervise all external communications, internal communications and the marketing department, and will report to Prinovis CEO Thorsten Thiel.
Gruner + Jahr and Prinovis are associated with Bertlesmann, which owns Random House in the United States. Prinovis is a printing company.
Adler has worked in communications and public relations for the Bertelsmann group for over ten years. After earlier career stations, he joined AOL Germany/Europe, Hamburg in 1999, first as a press relations officer, later as spokesman for the company. In 2000, he was appointed spokesman for the Bertelsmann eCommerce Group, Hamburg, and in 2002 moved to Bertelsmann AG in Gütersloh as a member of its spokesmen group. He has served as spokesman for Gruner + Jahr AG, Hamburg since 2004, and as interim Head of Corporate Communications since the beginning of the year 2009.

I regret but respect his decision to leave Gruner + Jahr and wish him the best of luck and success both for his exciting future task at Prinovis and in his personal future.
