NEW YORK, NY (AUTHORLINK NEWS, December 18, 2008)–Kathy Dawson has been named to the newly created post of associate publisher of Dial Books for Young Readers and Dutton Children’s Books, effective January 6. She will report to Lauri Hornik, vice president and publisher of the two Penguin imprints.
Dutton Children’s Books is one of the oldest continually operating children’s book publishers in the United States. Dial Books for Young Readers is a hardcover division publishing approximately fifty titles a year for children of all ages, from preschool through young adult.
Before joining Harcourt in 2005, Kathy Dawson worked for 17 years at G. P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers, another Penguin Young Readers Group division.
