Look for holes in logic, confusing timelines, and character inconsistencies. Create a graphic timeline with key plot points to visually track the story’sprogressing. Plot points that are too close together or far apart affect the pacing of the story, and thus the reader’s engagement. As you near the end of the story, the points should happen more rapidly.
