VitalSource Technologies LLC today announced the addition of Jennifer Solomon as its Director of Market Development.

“Jenn has a wealth of experience in the educational publishing industry and came to us with an incredibly strong sales and leadership background and a consistent track record of building successful teams, driving sales and growth in market share and forming partnerships,” said Dr. Mike Hale, VitalSource’s VP, Sales. “In her short time here, she has become a critical member of our leadership team.”

Prior to coming to VitalSource, Solomon spent 15 years driving sales efforts for Jones & Bartlett Learning, a leading provider of educational content as a sales manager, then Vice President of Sales, Education Curriculum Solutions, and later Vice President, Academic and Professional Sales.

Jenn is an alumna of University of Massachusetts at Boston. A mother of three, she is an avid runner, competing in the past two Boston Marathons as a charity runner on behalf of Boston Children’s Hospital. She has begun training for the 2017 running of the marathon.

Tim Ridgway has been named Senior Marketing Manager for VitalSource. He is based in the Boston office and oversees marketing support for publisher business.

“Tim’s expertise in marketing and specifically his success in building and growing a brand is a great asset for our VitalSource team, ” said Paget Hetherington, Director of Marketing VitalSource.

Prior to joining VitalSource, Tim was Vice President of Marketing for thirteen years at Califone International, a B2B supplier of educationally focused audio gear.  He led the company’s transformation of its products and focus from analog to digital, creating opportunities for use with assessments and partnerships with content publishers.

“I’m looking forward to immersing myself in VitalSource and sharing the amazing story that is VitalSource with publishers and customers around the world,” Ridgway said.

Tim grew up in Toronto and is an alumnus of the University of California, Irvine.  He has lived in Los Angeles for the past thirty years.
