Sourcebooks Adds
Romance Fiction
to Casablanca Line

NAPERVILLE, IL/8/20/07-Illinois-based Sourcebooks is expanding its Casablanca imprint to include fiction in all romance subgenres. The company has published nonfiction romance since its founding in 1997 as well as Jane Austen sequels, but the newly-expanded imprint will include all subcategories of romance, including paranormal, suspense, contemporary, erotic romance, and historical (prior to 1900 only).

The first three titles to be published this fall will be: Hundreds of Years to Reform a Rake, a time travel romance by Laurie Brown, and two Regency romances, No Regrets by Michèle Ann Young and Cotillion by the late Georgette Heyer, an English historical writer who died in 1974. Both Brown’s and Heyer’s books are regency romances. The launch titles will be followed in the spring 2008 with seven additional titles. Sourcebooks plans to release about 15 to 20 titles per year.

The house is accepting both agented and unagented submissions of 90,000 to 120,000 words in length from both new and established authors. Full guidelines can be found on the Sourcebooks site: http://www.sourcebooks.com/
