Educator Appreciation Week is open to current and retired PreK-12 teachers, librarians, principals, homeschoolers, professors, student teachers, religious educators, school support staff and other educators. Please bring a current Classroom or Educator Discount card, school ID or pay stub to be eligible to receive the special discounts.

Borders Group’s Educator Appreciation Week savings event could not come at a better time for teachers, as an increasing number are purchasing supplies for their classrooms with their own money. According to a 2008 national survey on educator buying trends, surveyed teachers, on average, spent nearly $400 of their own money during the 2007-2008 school year for school supplies and instructional materials. Through this event, Borders helps make purchases more affordable for local educators and connects them with the expert staff at their local Borders stores.

Certain restrictions apply to the 25 percent discount offered during Educator Appreciation Week. For more details, please see our Web site at www.borders.com/educators or our Spanish-language page at www.borders.com/losmaestros.
