June 6 – June 12, 2011 Edition BISG Launches Webinar Series on Metadata

NEW YORK, NY/AUTHORLINK/June 6, 2011—The book Industry Study Group has launch a four-part webinar series titled “Selling More Books with Best Practice in Metadata.” The webinar series, priced at $75 for BISG members and $140 for non-members, will cover the essentials of product metadata to increase sales and maximize marketing opportunities for both print and digital books.

The first live webcast, THE WHAT: DEMYSTIFYING PRODUCT METADATA FOR DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL BOOKS, will take place at 1 p.m. Eastern time, June 8 and will feature Laura Dawson, content chief, Firebrand, and Renee Register, founder of DataCurate.

Session two, on June15, is titled: THE HOW: BUILDING RODUCT METADATA FOR DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL BOOKS

Series three on June 22 covers THE NEXT LEVEL: ENHANCED METADATA FOR DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL BOOKS, followed by PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER: IMPLEMENTING ONIX FOR DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL BOOKS, ON June 29.
