BEA Switches

BookExpo Dates

Norwalk, CT, 7/3/2007—BookExpo America show organizers have announced that the convention which was to be held in Las Vegas in 2010 has been moved to Las Vegas in 2011. The show will now return to Washington DC in 2010.

“Due to scheduling conflicts outside of our control at the Las Vegas Convention Center, we needed to reevaluate our dates in Las Vegas,” notes Lance Fensterman, Event Director for BEA. “Switching Washington DC and Las Vegas was the least disruptive move BEA could make while still maintaining our commitment to a long term view of show location. Bottom line, I want to adhere to a balanced schedule of locations which will serve the greatest number of constituents over the long term. My goal is to have an equitable geographic show location schedule over the next ten years, not just the next two or three.”

Future cities and dates for BEA are: 2008 Los Angeles, May 29 – June 1 Los Angeles Convention Center 2009 New York City, May 28 – May 31 Jacob K. Javits Center 2010 Washington DC, June 3 – June 6 Washington DC Convention Center 2011 Las Vegas, June 9 – June 12 Las Vegas Convention Center
