Zika Named Executive Editor for Bookspans Madison Park Press
New York, NY/12/7/2006—Carole Baron, Senior Vice President & Publishing Director of Bookspan, has announced the appointment of Christine Zika to the position of Executive Editor for Madison Park Press. In this role, Ms. Zika will acquire and edit original book projects for Madison Park Press and Doubleday Entertainment Book Clubs coordinating with book club editors, marketers and publicity for Madison Park Press properties.
Ms. Zikas experience in the book publishing industry is wide-ranging. She joins Bookspans Madison Park Press from Berkley Publishing, Penguin USA where she was Senior Editor. Her duties covered trade paperback and mass market titles across fiction and general nonfiction. Prior to Berkley which she had joined in 1999, Zika held editorial positions at Dell Publishing, Avon Books and Mega-Books of New York. Some of her award-winning and bestselling authors include Earlene Fowler, Susan Johnson, Julia London, David Ellis, Maggie Greenwood-Robinson, and the late Dr. Robert Atkins. She is a graduate of New York University.
