Shambhala’s New

Trumpeter Imprint

to Broaden Scope

Boston, MA/04/19/05—Shambhala Publications, which publishes books on Buddhism and philosophy, will introduce its new Trumpeter Books imprint in September. The first book in the new line will be a memoir by poet Patrick Lane, titled What the Stones Remember: A Life Rediscovered. Trumpeter will expand beyond Shambhala’s traditional publishing role, to include literary nonfiction, psychology, memoirs, and fiction. The new line will publish four titles this fall, and then expects to release about a dozen titles per year. Shambhala’s books are distributed by Random House.
