Penguin Unveils
Digital Services
For Readers

NEW YORK, NY (Authorlink News, December 8, 2008)–Penguin Group USA has announce the launch of Penguin 2.0, a new suite of digital services, developed to offer readers new and innovative ways to interact with Penguin content. Today’s launch includes the debut of two of these programs;  Penguin Personalized and Penguin Mobile.

Penguin Personalized will offer readers the ability to insert personal dedications directly into select Penguin Group adult titles. The first title to be made available – in the spirit of the holiday season – is the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol and Other Christmas Writings.  Penguin Personalized will expand in the coming months to include a dozen additional Penguin Classics titles.

For Penguin Mobile, Penguin has developed an iPhone application that will allow readers to enjoy Penguin content and news on their iPhone. The app is available for free from the iTunes app store, and was developed independently by a team of in-house programmers. Penguin has also created an optimized version of its website for mobile devices. This site can be reached directly by going to on any Web-enabled cell phone. Both the mobile site and the iPhone app will allow users to read (and comment on) the Penguin blog, listen to the Penguin podcast, and browse new titles and special interest areas. In addition, the iPhone app will include exclusive excerpts that can be read on- or offline.

Additional Penguin 2.0 features and programs will be rolled out in 2009.  To sign up for the Penguin RSS feed, and have the latest updates delivered right to your RSS reader, click here
