June 27 – July 03, 2011 Edition New Publisher to Publish Christian Writers Guild Winner

BRENTWOOD, TN/June 28, 2011–Worthy Publishing of Brentwood, Tenn., a new company with strong ties to the Christian publishing industry, will publish the Christian Writers Guild’s 2011 “Operation First Novel” winner, it was announced earlier this month.

The Guild will reveal the results of the contest in February of 2012 at the Writing for the Soul conference and award the winner $20,000. The novel would likely release later that year.

“We’re honored to be involved with Jerry Jenkins and the Guild,” says Worthy President and CEO Byron Williamson. “We believe some of the greatest fiction voices of our time have not yet been heard. Operation First Novel is an exciting way to seek out those compelling stories and writers.”

This year those who enter the contest will receive feedback from judges in seven key areas: Characterization, Plot, Conflict, Dialogue, Setting, Mechanics, and Writing Quality.
