Among Hay fest Celbs
HAY-ON-WYE, Wales/5/29/2006Margaret Atwood, Stuart McLean and Shane Koyczan will make appearances at the Hay Festival, which is now taking place in Wales and runs through June 4, 2006. Dubbed Woodstock for the mind by Bill Clinton, this years speakers include Douglas Coupland, Salman Rushdie, Peter Carey, Zadie Smith, DBC Pierre, Atwood and others. The event attracts about 90,000 people.
Thousands of people made the pilgrimage to this idyllic place surrounded by green pastures and mountains. About 1,200 people packed a tent to hear Atwood read from The Penelopiad.
