Election Results
11/03/04Dan Petrie Jr. will be seated as the new president of Writers Guild of America West (WGAw), following an election battle which was decided today by The Department of Labor . the DOL rejected all member protests and certified the results of the Sept. 20, 2004 WGAw Special Election for President, in which Petrie Jr. received more than 70% of the votes. Two Guild members had filed challenges with the DOL, which reviewed and then dismissed all protests. The election outcome thus stands.
