Knopf Buys First-Time Novel for Six Figures
NEW YORK, NY/3/24/07-Knopf, a division of Random House, has laid out six figures for U. S. rights to a debut novel by Poppy Adams, titled The Time of Emergence, to be published in spring 2008. The story is about two estranged sisters. Adams is a BBC and Discovery Channel producer. Knopf editor-at-large Carol Baron acquired the book, represented by Denise Shannon.
