The announcement was made January 3 by the Supervisory Board of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (BBG), the parent company of the Ausstellungs- und Messe GmbH (AuM) that organizes the fair.

“We’re delighted to have found in Jürgen Boos a man who is a proven expert in both publishing and marketing,” said Supervisory Board Chairman Dr. Joachim Treeck. “His excellent knowledge of international arts and culture is just what the world’s largest book fair needs to continue building on its national and international importance.” Jürgen Boos is currently a member of the Senior Management at Wiley-VCH. Incumbent Director Volker Neumann will remain in office parallel to Boos until December 31, 2005.
