January 15-31, 2006 Edition PEOPLE IN PUBLISHING Powers Heads Marketing Efforts at DK Publishing
NEW YORK, NY/1/4/06Judi Powers has joined DK Publishing, Inc. as Director of Marketing and Publicity, effective January 3. She makes the move to DK from Viking Penguin, where she was Associate Director of Publicity, working most recently on campaigns for bestselling authors Sue Monk Kidd, Andrea Mitchell, and Dava Sobel. Prior to joining Viking Penguin, she was Marketing Director at Walker & Company, and she has also held publicity and marketing positions at Facts On File and Stewart, Tabori & Chang.
