Hodder Delays Move Into

US Publishing

LONDON/10/23/03—UK publisher Hodder Headline has delayed the launch of its US imprint with Simon & Schuster. The UK magazine, The company reportedly will wait until WH Smith, Hodder’s parent company, installs new management, which should take place by early November.

Hodder’s CEO Tim Hely Hutchinson said the company wants to insure the new management team backs the US operation for the long term before it fully implementing an office in New York.

Simon & Schuster had agreed to provide office space and back office services for Hodder’s US operation. No other details were available at press time.
