With Chinese Press

BOSTON, MA/06/21/04—Harvard Business School Press has signed a three-year exclusive contract with The Commercial Press in Beijing, China to publish Harvard Business School titles in Chinese.

The Commercial Press will translate about 150 titles, including most of HBS’s front list, into Chinese. The agreement includes a training deal in which editorial, production, marketing and distribution departments of each publisher will spend time learning about the other’s operations. As a result, HBS hopes to gain insights about the Chinese book market.
