HarperCollins Introduces
Paperless Book Catalogue

NEW YORK, NY/Authorlink News/03/26/09–HarperCollins has replaced its traditional paper catalogues for Fall 2009 with an all-digital catalogue and information center, which features the usual catalogue information and new title listings plus promotional videos, interviews, book reviews, authors’ backlists, and more. Digital galleys for a few titles will also be accessible from the online catalogue. Users can also build their own lists of titles and choose how to group and use them, such as by category, format or on-sale date.

The site will be frequently updated to include up-to-the minute changes, including additional marketing efforts and also price changes. For example, the current digital catalogue shows a drop in price for several titles due to be released in April and May. Henry Miller’s Tropic of Capricorn Unabridged, is down from $44.99 to $39.99, and Leonard Elmore’s Road Dogs Unabridged, has dropped from $39.99 to $34.99. Even some print titles seem to be slightly reduced. Barbara Coloroso’s The Bully, the Bullied, and the Bystander, has been reduced from $15.99 to $14.99.
