Delacorte Signs Lee Child to Multiple Book Deal

NEW YORK, NY/Authorlink/06/23/09–Internationally bestselling author Lee Child has signed a major new multiple-book contract for his Jack Reacher series with Delacorte Press, it was announced today by Gina Centrello, President and Publisher of the Random House Group, who acquired North American rights from Child’s long term agent Darley Anderson of the Darley Anderson Agency. Bantam Dell Editorial Director Kate Miciak, Child’s longtime editor, will edit the books.

Child’s Reacher series has over thirty million copies in print worldwide, and is published in over fifty countries. This news comes on the heels of his instant #1 New York Times bestseller GONE TOMORROW, which was hailed by USA Today as “Child’s best. Child’s next Reacher thriller, 61 Hours, is set to be released next summer.
