June 28 – July 4, 2010 Edition Dan Ruffino appointed Penguin Digital Director
New York and London/AUTHORLINK NEWS/June 29, 2010–Penguin Group announced today the appointment of Dan Ruffino as Group Digital Director, with responsibility for Penguins digital strategy across the globe. He will start on September 1st and be based in New York, reporting to Penguin Group Chairman and CEO John Makinson.
In his new role, Dan will work with colleagues around the world with a focus on digital publishing and new digital revenue opportunities; direct to consumer communication and business intelligence; and global partnerships.
Dan Ruffino is currently Penguin Australias Marketing and Publicity Director. He has been with Penguin for almost ten years and, during this time, has been instrumental in establishing Penguin Australias leading online strategy. Prior to joining Penguin, he spent ten years at Pan Macmillan where he held a number of roles in sales, publicity and consumer marketing. He has also spent time working in the music industry.
