Fourth Annual

Writers Round Table

NEW YORK, NY/2/11/08–The New York Center for Independent Publishing is sponsoring the fourth annual New York Round Table® Writers’ Conference, to be held Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12 at 20 West 44th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues in midtown Manhattan, in the landmark building of the General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen. Among the featured writers taking part will be the best-selling authors Alice Hoffman and Lincoln Child.

Focusing on the business and career of writing, the conference, now in its fourth year, has a reputation for quality instruction from knowledgeable publishing insiders. The conference features programming on a variety of publishing topics, including: independent publishing, marketing, memoirs, online publishing, and query letters. It also provides an opportunity to meet editors and literary agents from the top publishing houses and literary agencies.

Past Writers’ Conferences have featured Jonathan Ames, Mary Higgins Clark, Michael Connelly, Richard Ford, Ben Greenman, Sigrid Nunez, Nuala O’Faolain, Lynn Tillman, Colson Whitehead, Sean Wilsey, and Meg Wolitzer.

The cost of the conference is $250 for one day and $350 for both. There is an early-bird discount until March 15th: $225 for one day and $325 for both. Register online at writersconferencenyc.org.
