Aug 27 – Sept 3, 2012 Edition Buchholz Steps Down From Bertelsmann Executive Board

Gütersloh, August 29, 2012 – Dr. Bernd Buchholz (50), a member of the Bertelsmann Executive Board and CEO of Gruner + Jahr, has tendered his resignation from his Executive Board mandate to the Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann Management SE, with immediate effect. The Supervisory Board issued a statement saying it “regrets this decision, and thanks Bernd Buchholz for the long years of collaboration.”

As a majority shareholder, Bertelsmann continues to stand by Gruner + Jahr and supports the further development of the company.
