Today, Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams celebrated the return of the ninth annual Brooklyn Book Festival on Sunday, September 21st to Brooklyn Borough Hall and Plaza, the main site of the largest free literary event in New York City. The festival annually brings together tens of thousands of book lovers, of all ages and backgrounds, to meet world-famous and emerging authors at engaging discussion panels as well as to experience a vibrant literary marketplace.
“More than a tree grows in Brooklyn; we have grown a literary tradition that is second-to-none which will be center stage once more at the Brooklyn Book Festival,” said Borough President Adams. “Brooklyn Borough Hall is where this incredible celebration of stories, both written and graphic, first began its own tale of delighting readers old and new. This year, I am pleased to help write the next chapter of this great festival, and I look forward to seeing thousands of Brooklynites enriched by this great experience.”
“The Brooklyn Book Festival is delighted to have the support of Borough President Eric Adams as he hosts us at historic Borough Hall and its Plaza and helps us keep the festival free and open to all,” said Tim Houlihan, chair of the Brooklyn Book Festival Board of Directors.
