Borders’ New Site
to Feature Streamlined
eCommerce System
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA/11/9/07–CyberSource Corporation (NASDAQ: CYBS), has signed an agreement with Borders Direct, LLC, the eCommerce platform of Borders Group, Inc. (NYSE: BGP) to provide bank card and Bill Me Later payment processing and fraud protection services for the upcoming Borders.com eCommerce site, which will launch in early 2008.
CyberSource-managed payment services will provide advanced processing systems to safely and securely manage payment activity throughout Borders.coms payment pipeline. Borders customers will be able to buy online using a wide variety of payment types including credit and debit cards, as well as Bill Me Later and other options which will be put in place over time. All transactions are consolidated into a single report to streamline reconciliation.
For fraud prevention, Borders has chosen CyberSource Decision Manager, a fraud management portal that helps merchants automate and streamline eCommerce order screening for prompt customer service. Based on parameters Borders defines, CyberSource Decision Manager assesses over 150 order variables and automatically determines whether incoming orders will be accepted, rejected or suspended for review.
