August 15-31, 2005 Edition AWARDS Coleman Receives

B&N’s Lone Star

Scribe Award

NASHVILLE, TN/8/8/05—Center Street author Britta Coleman has just received the coveted Lone Star Scribe Award from Barnes and Noble for her debut novel Potter Springs. The award is given by managers of Texas Barnes and Noble stores and is based on quality of writing, book presentation, and author reputation. Potter Springs will be prominently displayed in Dallas/Fort Worth area Barnes and Noble stores in September, October, and November and Britta Coleman will continue her tour within those stores.

Coleman has enjoyed sell-out crowds at many of her Texas book signings since the release of the critically acclaimed Potter Springs. Publishers Weekly said, “Nuanced and well-drawn… the story resonates with its essential message that ‘being lost is a good way to start getting found.’” The book also received 4.5 of 5 stars from Romantic Times, “This debut novel sparkles …[with] engrossing dialogue and deft touches of humor."
