OAKLAND, CA/7/10/08– Ask.com (www.ask.com), a leading search engine and wholly-owned business of IAC last week completed the previously announced agreement to acquire Lexico Publishing Group LLC, owner of Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com, and Reference.com.

Ask.com is a growing unit within the IAC/InterActive Corp group based in New York. IAC plans to spin off four of its largest businesses and focus on Web media and advertising in coming months.

The transaction was first announced on May 15. Terms of the all-cash merger were not disclosed.
