To Self Publish Book
NEW YORK, NY/4/25/06Billionaire Donald Trump and millionaire Robert Kiyosaki have decided to jointly self-publish a book about investing, which has not yet been titled.
The new book, to be released in October, will offer readers fun and practical investment advice.
Warner Books continues to publish Kiyosakis Rich Dad, Poor Dad series, but for the investment title, he and Trump will go it alone. They hope to prove the project in the self-publishing arena and then to attract a major publisher.
One reason they choose to self publish is that Trump filed a defamation of character lawsuit against Warner Books and author Timothy L. O Brien in January this year. Trump objects to O Brians portrayal of Trump in his book, TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald. OBrian is a New York Times business reporter.
Kiyosaki self-published the first Rich Dad Poor Dad book in 1997 and Warner picked up the book after it became a bestseller.
