NEW YORK, NY/2/6/04—Geoff Shandler has been promoted to editor-in-chief of the adult trade division at Little, Brown. He succeeds Michael Pietsch, who became publisher of the imprint.

—Tim Duggan has been named an executive editor at HarperCollins.
Scholastic Gets New CFO
—Mary A. Winston, 42, has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer at Scholastic, Inc.. She follows Kevin J. McEnery, who left to pursue other career interests. Before joining Scholastic, Winston was controller at Visteon Corporation, in the automotive supply industry.
B&N Names New CR Director
NEW YORK, NY/2/4/04—Barnes & Noble has named Tanya Rojas as the new director of community relations, succeeding Judy Collins, who has left the company. Before joining Barnes & Noble, Rojas served as senior director of communications with L’Oreal.
Publisher Teacher Leaves Running Press
—Buz Teacher, president, publisher and founder of Running Press, owned by Perseus Books, is leaving the company, but will continue to consult several days a week and to serve as a Perseus stockholder. John Whalen, formerly director of sales, will replace Teacher as publisher.
Al Struzinski, COO, will manage those business operations once assigned to Teacher.
Perseus’ new president, David Steinberger, said the move had no connection to the recent departure of Jack McKeown, who bought Running Press in 2002. It was Teacher who founded the press in 1972.
