Headline CEO Departs After Short Stint

LONDON/AUTHORLINK NEWS/10/06/09–Kate Wilson, chief executive officer at Headline publishing in the UK, has left the company by “mutual agreement” after only five months in office. Details of her departure, other than a brief statement, have not yet been announced.

Wilson was due to take over company operations from retiring chief Martin Neild, due to step down in 2010. Deputy managing directors Jane Morpeth and Kerr MacRae will again report to Neild.

Wilson was named new CEO in March after she resigned as group managing director of Scholastic UK. Headline Publishing Group is part of Hachette UK.
