BookExpo and CBE

to Partner at BEA

in New York in June

NEW YORK, NY/12/15/04—BookExpo America is partnering with the Combined Book Exhibit to mount the first-ever BEA/Combined Book Exhibit New Title Display at the 2005 BEA Trade Show in New York City, June 3-5, 2005. The unique display will allow hundreds of publishers to focus attention on important new titles by providing them with a high-traffic exhibit area where these selected books will be seen by virtually thousands of convention-goers before they even hit the exhibit floor.

The BEA/Combined Book Exhibit New Title Display will be centrally located in the main lobby of the Jacob Javits Convention Center. Participation in the program also includes a catalog listing which will feature the selected titles, company information, and a reference to booth location and/or how to contact the company after the convention. Several thousand catalogs will be produced by BEA/Combined Book Exhibit and will be distributed in the main lobby at the BEA/Combined Book Exhibit New Title Display area.

Jon Malinowski, President of the Combined Book Exhibit, notes: “This display will save all attendees valuable time in seeking out titles of interest from the many thousands of books which are featured in publishers’ catalogs, and it provides publishers with a way to call still more attention to their important titles. It is one of several ways that BEA seeks to add value for attendees and exhibitors alike.”

Publishers may opt to submit one title or reserve a Publisher Shelf. Small and large publishers will be given equal consideration, with all publishers’ titles featured side by side in the display.

Instructions on “How to Participate” will be announced shortly on both http://www.combinedbook.com and the BookExpo America web site, http://bookexpoamerica.com.

The Combined Book Exhibit is a company which began in the 1930’s to supply libraries with books on a cooperative basis.
