Words without Borders, the online magazine for international literature, announces the release of its November issue, “New Writing from the Czech Republic.”
The issue, guest edited by award-winning translator Alex Zucker, presents work from a varied group of writers—men and women, young and old—to introduce English-language readers to the vibrant, vital world of new Czech writing.
Susan Harris, WWB editorial director, said of the issue, “Czech literature is not well known in English, and the work that has been translated has been mainly political and largely male. At this twenty-fifth anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, we’re delighted to bring these diverse contemporary writers to our readers.”
