Delays Release
of Eisner Book
NEW YORK, NY/3/17/04Warner Books, a division of Time Warner Inc., has postponed the June release of Disney CEO Michael Eisner’s book on the management lessons he has learned, according to a report by BusinessWeek. The delay is said to be due to Eisner’s full schedule, intensified by a takeover bid for Comcast Corp., and Disney shareholders’ vote that stripped him of his title as chairman of the board.
Warner intends to release the book around Father’s Day 2005 despite the inner conflicts at Disney. Eisner is expected to face more shareholder hostilities near the end of his contract period in 2006.
